With the WSOP main event well and truly underway, InterPoker player
Todd Witteles has given his fellow qualifiers a timely boost by battling
his way through a very tough field to triumph in Event 36. An absolutely
fantastic acheivement, congratulations Todd !

The World Series Of Poker (W.S.O.P.) had it's beginnings in 1949 when Nick
"The Greek" Dandolos asked Benny Binion to set up a match with the best
high stakes poker players. Binion set up a marathon match between Dandalos
and Johnny Moss. The two players went head to head at Binions Horseshoe
Casino on Las Vegas for five months, playing every form of poker, as the
public watched on. Johnny Moss ended up winning the event and an estimated
$2,000,000. Congratulations to WSOP bracelet and GSN 'Battle of the Sexes'
winner Kathy Liebert who has won her seat to this year's World Series
through InterPoker!
